- Anytime you walk in a store/food stall and ask for anything they always reply back very politely with "Con mucho gusto" which means something like "It's my pleasure to serve you"
- There are stalls in the street which offer cellphone rental service! People walk in, pick one of the available phones, make a call and then pay by the minute (200 COP/minute)
- There's no subway however there are some buses which run in the exclusive lane, name is Transmilenio. These are articulated buses.
- Transport is also available via the inumerous mini buses running around town. The minibuses stop anywhere the client asks to.
- Taxis are readily available too, painted in yellow. Many of them are Hyundai Atos
- The most amazing feature in the city is the fact that the streets are numbered.
Streets going North-South are Calles and streets going East-West are Carreras.
If you are in Carrera (aka KR) 7 and you need to go to Carrera 9 you know you just need to walk 2 blocks and if by any chance you get to Carrera 6 then you know you are in the wrong way. This is just genius, every city should be like that.
- There are about 1 million doves in the Plaza Bolívar
- The city landscape is not made of many tall buildings. It's more spread out.
- I honestly believe the Cathedral here competes in terms of beauty with Notre Dame.
- The temperature drops very quickly at the end of the day (at least 5 degrees celsius)
- Looking for mineral water? There's only treated potable tap water

Bah, muitas cidades tem este esquema de ruas numeradas, Nova Iorque por exemplo, Palmas/GO, Balneário Camboriu, Brasilia....
