Rome, eternal city! We are here for 3 days and we are still to find an Italian person LOL. Jokes aside, the city is as predicted: full of foreigners either living here or visiting. The price of things are way lower than in Brazil what gives you an idea of how Brazil has become expensive in the last few years. German is even cheaper.
Every Italian person we have met so far has been extremely kind and polite, so I have no idea where the urban leggend that Italians are rude come from. Maybe some other cities...
If in Berlin we were stumbling over the past, here you literally step on it. The newst building downtown must be 400 years old. The whole city is based on this antique architecture, with the front walls full of details and the big wooden doors.
One interesting aspect is that you can visit everything on foot, even though using the subway is a little faster. There's almost no signs to any of the monuments, so you kinda have to follow the crowds of touristis, busy following their guides everywhere.
The Italian famous Gelatto really is something out of this world. Icecream here has like 10 times more flavour than back in Brazil!

Roma, cidade eterna! Já estamos aqui há 3 dias e não vimos nenhum italiano, haha. Brincadeiras a parte, realmente a cidade é bem como previsto, totalmente cosmopolita, e cheia de estrangeiros, sejam turistas, sejam moradores. Os preços das coisas estão bem abaixo do Brasil, o que dá uma idéia de como nós Brasileiros pagamos caro pra viver. E isso que aqui é bem mais caro que na Alemanha.
Todos os italianos que interagimos até agora foram muito gentis, então não entendo de onde vem a lenda que eles são estúpidos. Talvez em outras cidades...
Se em Berlin você tropeçava no passado, aqui você pisa nele o tempo todo. O prédio mais novo da parte central da cidade deve ter uns 400 anos. Toda a cidade é baseada nessa arquitetura antiga, as portas imensas de madeira, os detalhes e enfeites nas paredes da frente.
A grande verdade é que dá pra fazer Roma inteira a pé, mas de metrô vai um pouco mais rápido.
Quase não tem sinalização para as coisas, então o jeito é seguir os grupos de turistas que vão bonitinhos do lado do guia, nem um passinho pra esquerda nem pra direita.
O famoso Gelatto realmente é fora de série. O sorvete aqui tem 10x mais sabor que no Brasil, sem brincadeira!
